CSCS Card Practice Test – Health and Safety Signs

Health and safety signs play a big part in passing your CSCS test because every worksite will display different types of health and safety signs depending on the nature of the work being done. It’s very likely that quite a few questions will ask you to identify a particular sign and you should be able to correctly identify them and know their meanings. Some of the most common signs you will encounter on your CSCS test will include:

Mandatory signs (Blue signs) – Hearing protection must be worn, Safety boots must be worn, Head protection must be worn, eye protection must be worn, hand protection must be worn etc.

Safe condition signs (Green signs) – Fire exit sign, Emergency eye wash, Fire assembly point, First aid box etc.

Hazard warning signs (Yellow signs) – Scaffolding incomplete, Trip hazard, Danger drop below etc.

Prohibition signs (Red signs) – Do not enter, No smoking, Do not oil or clean moving machinery, Do not use a ladder etc.
